Faith entrusted through the Creeds In modern Christianity, there are many who think that rattling through the words of an ancient creed has no meaning and purpose for Christian life. Therefore, in most of the newer churches there is no place given for the reading of the creeds at worship and for that matter they may not even introduce their congregations to the Apostles or Nicene Creeds. However, the traditional Churches like Methodist, Anglican and Roman Catholic do have the reciting of the Creeds, at worship. When candidates are prepared for Confirmation or Adults Baptism, the Creeds are used as a guideline to teach the doctrines of the Christian Church. With the recent discoveries made on the snares of heretical and false doctrinal teachings that people are exposed to, the Church should not only expose the cults who are in to such teaching, but also, be proactive in conveying the doctrinal truths on which the Church resolutely stand. Therefore, the time has come for the church

Faith Entrusted to us The faith of a Christian is not his or her own invention. It is a faith that has been passed on to him or her by someone. If it is so, let me ask you to check whether you are now ready to pass on the same faith to some one else? May be to your future generations and to others who are around you in the present day. Before we begin to initiate the passing on of our faith, there is a litmus test that needs to be done. We need to check whether we are rooted in the faith as described in the Holy Scriptures or rooted in a faith some preacher or a so-called modern-day prophet is introducing to us which could be a faith based on a false doctrine. The term “Doctrine” sounds heavy and unpalatable for some Christians. I have heard people saying “I am not bothered about doctrine. All I have is simple faith in Christ Jesus and that is enough”.
