DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES OF  RANIL WICKREMASINGHE'S ELECTION AS THE PRESIDENT OF SRI LANKA    On the 20th of July 2022 for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka, the Parliament elected by ballot a new President – Ranil Wickremasinghe.   THE COMPLICATIONS  OF MAKING THE SAME INDIVIDUAL AS  HEAD OF STATE AND HEAD OF GOVERNMENT On the 9th of July 2022, the people’s struggle against the Rajapaksha regime took a different turn.
